Today in iSWAT we walked in the classroom and we sat on the carpet and learned about the hour of coding the school will be doing for Computer Science Week. Then, we split up into groups and we made posters and presentations to put around the school. So most of us didn’t finish but we had more time to do them. It was really fun overall though. We can't wait for Drop Everything & Code!

Today was our first iSWAT meeting! We started with a Flipgrid which we had to answer the following questions of our names why we wanted to join iSWAT and what our goal is to do in iSWAT. Next we went over some norms, mostly like being respectful responsible and safe and treating others kindly. Then we did a cool robot activity where we had to program our classmates! (No we didn’t stick any cords in them) we had to code them by drawing shapes to tell them what to do because a rule was we couldn’t talk. We were the programmers. Now we have to reflect on flip grid and talk about what we liked, what we thought was challenging, what we had to persevere from and so on and so on. But my favorite part was coding the “robots” I thought it was so cool!
-RM Today we had the first day of iswat and it was so much fun and what we did was we talked about Hourr of Code. We did the coding with cups and we had human robots and they had to follow us and we couldn’t talk to the robot. It was challenging but fun. I can’t wait for the next meeting……...yay -AS |
